ARTIST STATEMENT
My practice is a means by which I attempt to collapse the mythical importance of the ‘heroic’ within society. At every stage of man’s development the hero myth has been central to civilization. In a range of media I aim to subvert dominant norms, whether it be habituated notions concerning materiality or means of display and distribution. As I continue with my practice I am careful that the works occupy a space between negation and affirmation.
