Obso Tele (2013)
The bulk of my practice is practical attempts to rupture existing systems. I work within divergent fields ranging between sculpture, installation, web and graphic design, game design, interventionist art, electronics, computing and photography. Through consolidating these disciplines I explore the singular yet vast topic of my personalised ontology of Capitalist culture. Since I was born and raised in a third world country and then immigrated to Australia I have a first hand fascination of how capitalism affects communities and peoples lives both positively and negatively. My practice explores this dialectically by highlighting the obsolescence and dependance of goods ranging from clock radios and Skype connections to iPad games and superfictive shop windows, my work exposes the absurdity of our complicity with affluence and capitalist culture.
